Dr. Natasha Hays is a pediatrician who has specialized in developmental and behavioral pediatrics for twenty-one years. A particular interest of hers is mnemonic devices to help children to learn and remember more easily. She has a book published with Jessica Kingsley Publishers, called A Toss of the Dice: Stories from a Pediatrician’s Practice, which illustrates various developmental problems by telling stories about the children in her practice.
Dr. Hays has given talks on various aspects of developmental pediatrics at conferences in North Carolina. She teaches a course at Lenoir Rhyne to teachers studying special education about the medical aspects of developmental disabilities.
Dr. Hays is also a singer, actress, and trained stuntwoman. She has two children, Ariel, and Alexander. At present she lives in Western North Carolina but has lived in Puerto Rico, British Columbia, and in several other places in the United States.
